Senior Network Security Engineer (Full-Time Employee) at Data Core Systems (DC-0081)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer with a strong background in network security and a passion for protecting digital environments. If you have extensive experience with Fortinet and F5 implementations and you want to tackle complex security challenges send us your CV.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage network security solutions using Fortinet network solutions and F5 Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies.
- Monitor and analyse network traffic to identify and mitigate security threats.
- Perform security assessments and gap analysis.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions with existing infrastructure.
- Provide expert guidance on network security best practices and emerging threats.
- Mentor and train junior team members on security technologies and practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering. We are looking for solo implementations or system ownership level of experience.
- Ability to design the architecture and map requirements to functionalities
- Extensive experience with Fortinet firewalls and F5 WAF implementations.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing WAF solutions, next-gen firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.
- Familiarity with security compliance standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or NIST.
- Relevant certifications are highly preferred, such as:
- Fortinet NSE7 (Network Security Expert)
- F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with other network security solutions is a plus, but not a must. We also work with Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Trellix, Tufin
