Stealing Traffic: Analyzing a Mobile Fraud
Wherever there is money, there is fraud. Companies invest a lot of money on their ad campaigns to best showcase their product to the world. In reality, most of that money goes to fraudsters and malicious app makers.
In this talk, the speaker will the show how a popular app with over 10 million downloads can steal mobile traffic. The concept of “Click Injection”: a commonplace AdTech fraud technique will be introduced to the audience. Afterwards, the speaker will go through the process of reverse engineering an app that was suspected of conducting click injections.

Malware is any software intentionally designed to abuse the capability of its system API to cause damage to a computer, server or computer network.
