Network forensics adventures

Another year has passed. Mr Anderson is still working for NeoCorps.

But when Mr Anderson clocks out of his regular job, he’s working on some projects on the side.

He created and sold some apps to some shady people. Now, the agents are on his tail.

They’ve tasked you to look at some of the network traffic and understand what some of those files are actually doing.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

The competition is graded as a Beginner friendly activity. Prior experience working with network packets could be an advantage.

Goal of the Competition

Analyze and understand what happened leading to the breach.

You will have to inspect network packets and analyze files in order to help restore the encrypted files.

Rules of Engagement

Teams can have only one member.

Contestants will have to answer a series of questions based on the input file.

Each correct answer will award a number of points (based on difficulty)

Flag sharing is forbidden. Collaboration between teams is forbidden.

Top three contestants will earn prizes.
