Managing Security Solutions Architect at Orange Romania (DC-0087)

We are seeking a Managing Security Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and governance of cybersecurity solutions provided by Orange Romania and/or its partners to corporate customers. This role combines technical excellence with strategic leadership, guiding both clients and internal teams in building secure, scalable, and resilient IT infrastructures.

You should have depth of knowledge and experience in one of the core security domains (Security Risk Management; Asset Security; Security Engineering; Communications Network Security; Identity Access Management; Security Assessment Testing; Security Operations) and should be able to speak across the landscape as well

You will collaborate with cross-domain experts (Cloud, Data Center, Networking, UCC), and engage directly with customers to define and implement end-to-end cybersecurity strategies that align with business goals and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Present technical architectures to customer and negotiate the common ground. The underlying material will use up-to-date official documentation and any negotiation will be formally agreed by the customer
Act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, translating business risks into technical solutions.
Design and validate complex security solutions spanning network, endpoint, cloud, and data protection domains.
Define reference architectures and blueprints for key security capabilities: Zero Trust, SASE, IAM, SIEM/SOC, and Threat Intelligence.
Lead solution validation, proof-of-concept (PoC) activities, and technical governance in large enterprise environments.
Partner with Networking, Cloud, and Infrastructure Architects to ensure security-by-design in all projects.
Work closely with pre-sales teams to support bids, proposals, and RFP responses with security architecture input.
Mentor and develop security specialists across the organization, fostering technical excellence and innovation.
Ensure architectural compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA, etc.), and customer standards.
Develop and maintain security design documentation, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
10+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years in cybersecurity solution design.
Proven experience in designing and deploying solutions across multiple domains: network security, cloud security, identity management, endpoint protection, and SOC operations.
Strong knowledge of frameworks and methodologies such as NIST CSF, TOGAF, or Zero Trust Architecture.
Hands-on expertise with major vendor platforms (Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Microsoft, Splunk, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, etc.).
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience engaging executive-level stakeholders.

Preferred Certifications

CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
Cloud Security certifications (Microsoft, AWS, or Google)
TOGAF certification is a plus.
