BIOGRAPHY
Madalin Ionita is a Security Researcher at CrowdStrike, with 6+ years experience in the cyber security field. Currently, he is reverse engineering malware with the scope of increasing CrowdStrike’s prevention capabilities, by identifying common techniques found in samples. He has experience in digital forensics, threat hunting and malware analysis.

Wipers have been the weapon of choice in cyber conflicts for the past decade. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine have brought them back to the forefront of security research. The entire infosec community wanted to be prepared for any NotPetya type of overspill. Join us for a deep dive into various wipers unraveled by the security community, their particularities and dissection of the specific techniques employed by these kind of threats.
