AI Powered Security Operation Center – SOC. Myth or reality?

“War in Ukraine”, “Ransomware hits Norway”, “Remote work is risky”, “Indonesian Immigration Directorate General” data leak are just a couple of headlines that have ran in the media in 2023. Unfortunately, when it comes to cybersecurity the saying “The bigger they are, the harder they fall” is incredibly valid. This is why, at least large enterprises, should deploy dedicated teams for log analysis, thread detection and incident response. 

To this regard, specialized tools, like Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) and Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) are paramount. They provide the data that security experts can use to determine what the source of the threat, how did the threat originate and what is the extent to which the threat has been able to infect the target system. On the other hand, the volume of forensic data is growing at an incredible rate.
