ClickBait
ClickBait

Hosted by Hackout, in partnership with the Romanian Police

This year, ClickBait goes from game to field work. You’ll step into the role of an investigator and work through realistic cases based on anonymised real-world incidents, helping the Romanian Police trace how attackers operated and who might be behind them.

Using OSINT, careful analysis, and a solid understanding of social engineering and phishing, you’ll follow the trail left by real threat actors: dissecting phishing campaigns, mapping the methods used to manipulate victims, connecting scattered clues, and building a picture of the people and infrastructure behind each case. Every lead you uncover sharpens your skills and shows how attackers exploit trust in the real world.

ClickBait is for security specialists, OSINT investigators, threat intelligence enthusiasts, and newcomers curious about how real cybercrime cases are investigated. Expect a challenge that’s engaging, realistic, and meaningful.

Goal of the Competition
Work through investigation challenges built on anonymised real cases. Analyse phishing artefacts, identify social engineering techniques, use OSINT to profile threat actors and their methods, and piece together the evidence behind each case.

Collect as many points as you can before time runs out!
