Securing the 6G frontier: trust, privacy, and resilience in the computing continuum
November 13th, 2025
Palace of Parliament, Bucharest

As 6G evolves, it’s set to create a computing continuum, a seamless network where processing power is distributed from centralized cloud data centers to the network’s edge and billions of interconnected devices. This shift will enable new, immersive services like holographic communication and real-time automation but also introduces new vulnerabilities.
Our discussion, “Trustworthy Computing Continuum in 6G Networks,” will explore the critical challenges and innovative solutions for ensuring security, privacy, and reliability in the next generation of wireless technology.
Furthermore, the workshop will feature discussions on topics such as leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) for threat detection, implementing beyond state-of-the-art trusted path routing to secure data in transit, and using blockchain-based attestation to verify the integrity of distributed systems.
Who is it for?
This workshop addresses participation from:
✔ telco-industry representatives,
✔ cyber-security services providers, and
✔ researchers and innovators in the field of the Next Generation of Networks and Beyond-State-of-The-Art Cyber Security Services and Tools.
The general audience at DefCamp is welcome to participate and engage with the speakers and the panelists.
Why is this workshop relevant?
The workshop will provide a platform for researchers and industry experts to address the complexities of managing and orchestrating these distributed computing resources in a way that is both efficient and secure.
Key themes will include zero-trust security models, which assume no user or device can be trusted by default, and the application of confidential computing to protect sensitive data even while it’s in use.
Participants will learn about the 6G SNS initiatives, and the European Union-funded frameworks for research and innovation actions, and some of the projects that have received funding through this framework.
The projects present in the workshop are:
✔ RIGOUROUS (https://rigourous.eu/)
✔ CASTOR (https://castorhorizon.eu/)
✔ 6G-Cloud (https://www.6g-cloud.eu/)
✔ AMAZING-6G (https://amazing6g.eu/) – Horizon Europe SNS-JU 2024 Stream D project focusing on 6G-enabled large-scale trials in the domains of Healthcare, Public Safety, Energy and Transport. Orange Romania is involved in two use cases – smart energy monitoring & prediction using secure edge devices and tactical bubble private networks for mission critical communications – that will be showcased within the presentation.
