We are looking to expand our team with a highly motivated, innovative and results-oriented Java Software Engineer that will help us set an efficient, powerful and highly available system while also keeping an eye on best practices, clean code and enrolling of newcomers.

The project manages and monitors fleets of SIMs on behalf of multiple countries, with millions of records to track, follow and interrogate and is part of a larger context that involves teams from Romania and France, all working together in an ‘Agile’ manner.

Role responsibilities:

Ship high-quality, elegant, well-tested, secure and clean code
Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies
Active participation in backlog grooming, sprint planning and implementation
Participate in architectural design discussions about new features and make sure they can be reliably integrated
Own and manage different phases of the software development lifecycle: coding, testing and debugging new complex software solutions

Requirements:

You are an experienced application developer passionate about latest technologies
You are able to work comfortably in a fast-changing environment on interesting technical challenges
You have a passion for efficiency, performance and continuous improvement
You enjoy growing and integrating team members and proactively support their continuous improvement

What you need to know/have:

3+ years of experience in developing Java applications
Ability to understand and implement complex functional requirements
Experience using Java frameworks – Spring (Spring Boot, Spring container, Spring MVC, Spring Integration, Hibernate) in developing highly available distributed systems
Good understanding of RDBMS
Experience developing Webservices (REST / SOAP)
Experience in working within an agile team and adhering to their best practices (thorough testing and documenting the code, estimating the complexity, peer reviews etc.)
Able to provide input and help the architecture team in designing the application flows

Nice to have

knowledge of big data technologies (spark, HDFS)
familiarity with monitoring and observability patterns and tools
experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra
familiarity with docker/kubernetes and CI/CD processes and tools
experience in working within an international agile team (Scrum)
