Senior QA Engineer – Threat Simulator at Keysight Technologies (DC-0032)

Threat Simulator is a live production Threat Protection, Data Security, Visibility validation product. It will allow customers to execute assessments between zones, providing a score. It will also perform validation between to zones, letting the customer know strengths and weaknesses found. They can then run continuous validations that will update with latest intelligence findings from the ATI team. The customer will be guided with recommendations, and mitigation techniques when known, for them to act.

As a Senior QA Engineer in Keysight’s Threat Simulator team you will be testing the infrastructure to run attack techniques used in our products that help keep our customers secure. You will be testing software and content for globally deployed systems in the hybrid cloud and on premise and working with a team of elite engineers and security researchers to save the universe from cyber security attacks and the bad guys who take advantage of the Internet for personal gain.

Currently we are a senior team of 15 working in an Agile environment with a strong emphasis on communication.

Role Responsibilities

Analyze user stories, use cases and customer requirements
Build testing strategy/plan and translate that strategy into test cases
Build/enhance automation test libraries to validate content (audits & associated metadata, strikes,
applications) using Python/Robot
Create MITRE and other security standards compliant checks to analyse generated metadata and traffic
Debug automated regression test cases. Ensure daily regression setups are up to date and maintained
Set up, configure, troubleshoot network equipment, endpoints and virtual software editions.
Follow QA procedures for delivering software each release
Participate in daily QA and Dev meetings

To be successful you should have good work experience with:

Scripting/programming experience (python medium level)
Linux medium level
Jenkins basic level
Virtualization (VMWare ESXI) basic level
Experience with cloud services and distributed applications
Experience with Jira, Agile, CI/CD, Git
Proven communication skills in highly dynamic work environments
Proactive attitude

Nice to have:

Experience with Web applications development, Cloud serverless architectures, Docker, Kubernetes
Experience with data structures, algorithms and performance optimizations
