BIOGRAPHY
In 2018, I took part in the first CTF content, but with no results other than the participation itself. It turned out to be a good starting point for a passion for cybersecurity. In the years that followed, I continued to participate in extracurricular courses, conferences, exercises, and competitions.
Parallel to this interest, I learned various programming languages for developing applications and automating processes, the majority of which are available on my GitHub profile.
I’m now building MutableSecurity to automate the lifecycle of cybersecurity solutions, working as an incident responder for the Ministry of National Defense, and pursuing a cybersecurity master’s degree at the University POLITEHNICA in Bucharest.
MutableSecurity: Life’s too short. Automate everything!
The market for cybersecurity solutions is constantly growing. Vendors are releasing new and innovative products with complex approaches. In this sea of available solutions, IT or security engineers can be confused by questions such as what to choose, and how to install and configure securely. There are many reasons for this.
First, if you find it difficult to follow the documentation. When you think you’ve done all the deployment and configuration, chances are you haven’t disabled features you never thought of. The same work is replicated manually by administrators around the world, in their own infrastructures!
The automation market is arguably home to configuration management solutions such as Ansible and Puppet. But we at MutableSecurity believe that security can be achieved without learning another domain-specific language with a steep learning curve.
MutableSecurity is an open source tool for automating the whole lifecycle of cybersecurity solutions, specialized on Linux servers. In the near future, we want to integrate a marketplace too: vendors will publish their software products, and the administrators will pick the best option, based on the needs of their infrastructures.
