Matei Josephs

Senior Penetration Tester KPMG

BIOGRAPHY

I’m a cybersecurity enthusiast with a knack for uncovering vulnerabilities and strengthening defenses through penetration testing.

Certification-wise, I’ve got the OSCP and eWPT under my belt, but I’m always hungry for more. I’m constantly on the lookout for opportunities to expand my knowledge and add new certifications to my repertoire.

When it comes to education, I’ve got a Master’s degree in Cybercrime and Intelligence, which has given me a deep understanding of the ever-evolving cyber threat landscape. And my Bachelor’s degree in Criminology with Psychology brings a unique perspective to the table when analyzing human behavior in the context of cybersecurity.

Bug bounty hunting is another exciting aspect of my cybersecurity journey. I get a kick out of engaging with different systems and applications, uncovering vulnerabilities, and responsibly disclosing my findings to contribute to the security community.

My approach to cybersecurity is all about the socio-technical aspect. I firmly believe that effective security measures should consider not only the technology but also the human factor. User awareness, education, and the social aspects of security are just as important as the tech itself.
