Verkle based Post-quantum digital signature with lattices
Research into quantum computers has made significant strides in recent times. If humanity successfully develops a functional quantum computer, it could potentially compromise many of the current public key cryptosystems that are widely integrated into commercial products. While potential solutions to safeguard against quantum attacks have been proposed, they currently suffer from issues related to security and efficiency in everyday applications.
Within the study, an examination of hash-based digital signature techniques is conducted, with a specific focus on Merkle tree based digital signatures. The paper delves into the evaluation of utilizing Verkle trees and vector commitments, introducing innovative concepts in this domain.
On DefCamp 2023 I will introduce an original approach to construct a post-quantum digital signature system, based on cutting-edge Verkle tree technology. To make the signature post-quantum secure, I will use lattice based commitments.
