Cybersecurity in the Quantum Era
I will discuss the upcoming threat of quantum technologies on cybersecurity, the so-called Quantum Apocalypse (or Q-Day). A quantum computer will be able to efficiently break current public-key crypto-systems & primitives (RSA, elliptic curves, Diffie-Hellman etc), and represents a serious threat for cybersecurity. Then I will explore the two ways out, the classical way and the quantum way. Finally, I will present the state-of-the-art of the field and what is being done globally.
