Razvan Chitu

DevOps Engineer Keysight Technologies Romania

BIOGRAPHY

He’s currently working on automation projects, but his one true love has always been cyber security. As a sysadmin, he’s spent years defending critical infrastructure and services against live attacks and that’s where he likes to be – right in the middle of the cyber battlefield.

Architectural challenges and solutions involved in creating a dynamic cyber range solution

Creating any new non-trivial product is hard work. More so, when the solution needs to involve different moving parts and technologies in a way that’s seamless for the end-user, allowing them to focus on the actual tasks they need to carry out.

This presentation aims to introduce the challenges involved in creating a dynamic cyber range solution. From architectural choices related to storage, tenant isolation, vm deployment to handling complex networking aspects, virtualization, timing constraints, we’ll try to illustrate different problems we’ve hit along the way (and the solutions we’ve come up with).

Although the presentation depicts a dynamic cyber range solution, the topics covered can be applied to many different products and solutions with lots of moving parts that need to interact with each other.

This presentation is co-presented with Bogdan Stefan, DevSecOps Software Architect at Keysight Technologies Romania.
